Abstract
Investigations into the effect of NPK application on the seed
yield and protein contents of muogbean were carried out on @ sandy
loam soil having on an average 0.057% N, 4.71 ppm available
P20; and 111.8 ppm K,0. The treatments comprised 0-0-0, 25-0-0,
0-50-0, 0-0-50, 0-50-50, 25-50.0, 95.9.5 and 25 50-50 kg NPK ha“!
The results rev-eated thar mungbean exhibited a positive response
to NPK in terms of increased nodulation, leaf area, number of pods
pec plant end number of grains per pod, The treatinent 25-5050
kg NPK ha“! resulted in increased seed yield and produced seeds
with high protein contents.
