Abstract
Muhib Arifi was a polymath in the real sense. In his being there is a rare combination of intellect and passion. His personality and poetry gelled together and he created a masterpiece of literature. His poetry collection was published in 1972. Chhalni ki Piyas is a unique metaphor, which assimilates highest philosophical meaningfulness and extreme sensibility at the same time. Chhalni is the unified form of being and consciousness where knowledge and existence are part of the same structure with all its details. In Muhib's opinion there is an impossibility of knowledge and absurdity of being, which is the fate of all humanity.
