Abstract
Arabic is one of the languages spoken internationally. This language also reached
the Indian subcontinent. Many scholars read the Arabic language and wrote
books on it, and they also put footnotes on Arabic books in their own style.
Among these scholars are the name of Sheikh Al-Saghani Al-Lahori and Dr. Pir
Muhammad Hassan. This article revolves around the contributions of Sheikh AlSaghani Al-Lahori in serving the Arabic language through his famous dictionary,
“Al-Ubab Al-Zakher Wa Al-Lubab Al-Fakher” and its features. It also sheds
light on the personality of Pir Muhammad Hassan, his scholarly status, and his
elegant editing of the book “Al-Abab Al-Zakher and Al-Lubab Al-Fakher.” Pir
Muhammad Hassan was one of these Pakistani scholars and writers who
immigrated to Pakistan from the city of Amritsar in independent India after
Pakistan's independence. He is the one who spent his life serving the Arabic
language. He was an Arabic researcher, editor, and translator. This article also
examines his great works in writing this book, describing him by explaining his
approach and characteristics in this work, pointing to some of his most important
works in order to show his personality to the Arab world. At the end, it also
provides some recommendations so that others can benefit from them and
continue the investigation work
