Abstract
Faith in any religion takessignificant importancein a country where intolerance and extremism arehigh. Acceptance and tolerance are keys for adjustment in religious activitiesand are pertinent for smoothrunning and dynamism. In contrast toit, intolerance and non-acceptancein religious activitiesis a burning issue with respect to adjustment problemsfaced by minorities in acountry. Thisstudy aims toexplorethe adjustment problems faced byminorities,especiallybyChristians and Sikhs for the performance of theirreligious activities in district Peshawar and Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The prime aim and goal of the studyisto illustrate the ways minorities aretargeted (Christians and Sikhs) and have to adjustwith Muslimmajorities for the performance of their religious activities, along with making efforts to strengthen various modes of social interaction within themselves in the targeted area.For the measurement of variable, five-level Likertscale wasused, and the chi-square test was applied to find out the association level ofanindependent variable withthedependent variable.Based ontheSekaran table, a total of 372 respondents wereselected from the local minorities to analysethe adjustment problems faced byminorities in the performance of theirreligious activities.
