Abstract
The 7 Century of Hijra, is considered as the dawn of a new era of the Persian
literature, when A literay genius from Sheraz, a city of Iran, infused Persian literature
with his the sweetness and mellowness of his work. People know him as Sheikh
Saadi. Gullistan and Bostan are the reasons for his fame in the Persian speaking
communities and areas. His classical writings are also taught in educational and
religious institutions of the Pashto speaking areas. Therefore, the classical Pashtun
poets, writers and intellectuals have borrowed his ideas into their writings and
publication, and presented his poetry as evidences for their arguments. Among these
poets, writers and intellectuals, Afzal Khan Khattak, presents Shekh Sadi’s verses as
instances for the validation of his arguments in his book, Tareekh e Mursa. In this
Paper, one can review and critically analyses works of Sheikh Sadi's as reproduced by
Afzal Khan Khattak in“Tarikh -e- Murasa”.
