ذکر شیراز، سعدی و حافظ شیرازی از نگاه شاعران اردو زبان

Abstract
Persian language existed in the subcontinent for around eight centuries. It has immensely influenced many regional languages and dialects. Urdu language was one of the direct recipients whose poets were greatly influenced by the themes and genres of Persian poetry. Many classical Urdu poets admired Persian poets such as Sa'di, Ḥāfiẓ, Rūmī and Khayyām and proudly followed their style to introduce their themes and forms in their creative genres. This article aims to highlight and analyze Urdu poetry which has been composed after being inspired by Iranian cities widely known for their scholarly contributions. Leading Urdu poets have expressed their affection for Iranian cities in their poetical works. Vast topic in mind, this article focuses only on those particular Urdu verses inspired by the city of Shīrāz, Sa'di and Ḥāfiẓ. The selected verses have been divided into three sections and translated to analyzed and highlight the significance of the famous city of Shīrāz and its great poets
