Abstract
Feminism was born in the West but it has its prominent impact on the world's literature. Its main goal is to win equal rights for women. The poetry of Fahmida Riaz is unique because of her feministic approach. She believes in the freedom of expression both in literature and practical life. She seems to be against all social and feministic exploitation of women on the one hand and favors Marxist ideas on the other. She follows the ideas of Sigmund Freud against the ethics of sex as imposed by the bourgeois kind. She is no doubt one of the greatest feminist writers in Urdu literature. This research paper explores the feministic sensibility of Fahmida Riaz in her poetry.
