Abstract
Mukhtar Siddique enjoys a special status in modern Urdu nazm. Although being a playwrite, broadcaster and translator, he has earned reputation as a versatile personality, but his ultimate recognition is as a nazm writer. Mukhtar Siddique showed new ways to the experiments made in the form and technique of nazm. The article under review while discussing his poetic collections Manzal-e-shab, Seh Harfi and Aasaar tries to unlock the doors towards some aspects of his flair for poetry and thoughts entrenched therein
