Abstract
The critics have often traced autobiographical elements in the works of Anees Nagi. At one hand he was labeled as the angry man, while at the other hand he was called anti hero. However, his poetry not only reflects his individuality but through his poems the collective psychology of the society of that time can also be discovered. His poems depict the dilemmas of modern age: existential crises, insecurity and inner frustration. These promote the alienation of modern man. Subsequently his poems provide an insight to the Modern Man's psychology. This article deals with such critical study of his poems
