Abstract
Dr.Nabi Bux Khan Baloch (1919 - 2011) was a great historian,
scholar, literary, eminent educationist and analyst. He was a scholar
of the Sindhi, Persian, Arabic, and Urdu languages.He was a
unique person, who worked in folklore, literature, education,
history, civilization and culture. He did his Ph.D from Columbia
University, New York (USA). After completing his education,
United Nations offered him a job, but he refused and returned to
his homeland.
Dr. Baloch is basically an educationist. He always gave priority to
the work of education and research. He was the first professor of
University of Sindh, Jamshoro and pioneer of the department of
Education in Pakistan. In 1973, he became vice-chancellor of the
University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He being a scholar represented
Pakistan on different international literary seminars and gathering
and received international fame. He worked hard for the promotion
of education and research, wrote many articles and books on
education and presented the solution of our educational problems in
the light of his vast experience in the field of education. In this
article, focus has been given specially on his Educational views.
