Abstract
Horace is the most important literary critic after Aristotle.His importance can be
guaged from the fact that when Aristotle`s poetics was not discoverd,writers
used to revere the literary opinions of Horace.When Poetics was finally
discoverd,people didn`t forget Horace even then.But then Horace was somewhat
overshadowed,but his literary theories are stil very important.People in
interested and literature all over the world can not deny the importance of
Horace ideas about literature.I have tried to discuss Horace`s literary theories
and their importance in literary criticism in my article.
