Abstract
Indersabha and Shakuntla are significant names in the drama genre of
urdu literature. Mythical happenings and excess of supernatural element
grants it lore. Indersabha belongs to the sabha which is full of elfs and
demons. Hum-drum of music is also heard. While Shakuntla is a romantic
story where the enchants of the world of gods and goddesses show their
magics. Both of these stories reflection of fundamental ideology of Hindu
religion where Hindu beliefs are fully exposed. Evidences of presence of
lore in drama, is a unique experience of supernatural and romantic trends in
which story is a reflection of its theme.
