Abstract
The comparative study of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the German
Idealist philoophers like Kant, Fichte, Schelling and Hegel is of much
importance. Iqbal was influenced by these German Idealists to some extent.
There are so many similarities between the various metaphysical,
ontological , epistemological, ethical and aesthetic concepts of Iqbal and of
these philosophers. Iqbal has mentioned these philosophers at the various
places both in his poetry and prose. This article will try to find out the
answers to the questions;What is the impact of the German Idealists on
Iqbal's thought?;What are the similarities and dissimilarities between Iqbal's
and German Idealists' philosophical concepts?; What is Iqbal's opinion
about these German Idealist philosophers?
