Implementation of Urdu in Pakistan and Internet
Abstract
The use of Internet is increasing day by day inPakistan.
The last two decades have witnessed a rapidly increasing
presence ofother languages, including Urdu, on the World
Wide Web. The best way to promoteUrdu on the Internet
is by improving the quality of the content offered by
Urduwebsites and the advancement of automatic
translation. Moreover, there is a direneed to digitise Urdu
literature. The researcher also pointed out the role
ofInternet in the promotion and implementation of Urdu as
a national and officiallanguage in Pakistan.
