Masnavi Safar-ul-Ishq: An intellectual study
Abstract
Mian Muhammad Baksh is a prominent Punjabi
poet of the nineteenth century. He belongs to
that era of Indo Pak history which was socially
and morally declined.So, he took the mantle of
social reform His poetry gives a strong message
of Perseverance and Persistenceto the people
ofdeclined society. The main sources of his
poetry are spirituality and moral values.
Masnavi “Safar al Ishq” is a masterpiece of his
writings. In this masnavi he teaches about
patience, trust and contentment that can give
positive results for the betterment of society. He
also described the different stages of Ishq e
Haqeeqi.
