Captive prose of Raja Anwer
Abstract
Pakistan has a limited number of ideological political workers but
these are the very political workers who are the true champions
of the ideological political fronts. Raja Anwar is a one of those
stalwarts who have struggled and suffered for the survival and
restoration of democracy in Pakistan which has frequently been
derailed by military dictators. Raja Anwar suffered particularly for
his leftist views and anti-zia struggles. His books provide a
window to his readers to peep into his political times. However
his daring style and bold stance distinctively distinguishes him
from the rest of the political writers. His prison writings are apt
'exact' critical' and literary in their own way. He lives in USA
these days and still have a passion for writing.
