Progressive criticism and contemperory sensibility
Abstract
The Aim Of progressive movement was welfare Of people. The
writers of the said movement believe that economical aspect is
fundamental for human life. Progressive writers took keen
interest in socio economical issues. They wanted to create such
awareness among people. So that they may change capitalist
economic system to socialist economic system If seen carefuly
then its only progressive movement which create direct relation
with contemporary awareness. It, with the help of contemporary
consciousness, not only solved problems of the time but also
kept eyes on the problems and issues Of related people Of that
era. It helped in sdving the problems as well. That is why
progressive writers seem linked with contemporary
consiousness and their writings encompass the feel and
emofons of life. This essay deals with the contemporary
conciousness of the criics of Progressive Movement.
