Abstract
Sadiqullah Rekhteen is a famous Pashto literary person.
He has written a number of books covering different
aspects of Pashto Language and Literature including
folklore. In this paper, beside the historical background
of folklore writings and the works done by other Pashto
writers, his contributions in this regard has been
discussed critically.
