Abstract
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has always paid great attention
to the support and dissemination of Arabic language through the
establishment of universities and specialized institutes. Indeed
governmental and non-governmental institutions are making
efforts for the development of Arabic language. This research
paper discovers the policy for the support of Arabic language in
educational curricula in Pakistan. It also discusses various
resolutions and bills submitted and cussed by governmental and
non-governmental institutions to adopt Arabic language as a
compulsory course at different educational levels. It thrown light
on how the government of Pakistan focused on devising a policy
to support Arabic language in curricula during the development of
her national education policies declared in different years. It
identifies numerous motives to adopt Arabic language as a
compulsory course while designing curricula at different levels of
education. It investigates various challenges and problems being
faced to pass the resolutions, bills and laws to support Arabic
language. At the end, some suggestions, recommendations and
findings are included.
