Abstract
The Palestine issue is a very important issue all over the world and it is not important only for the Arabs but also for all the Muslims. The Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz has participated in Palestine issue in his poetry. Faiz Ahmed Faiz (1911–1984) was a renowned Pakistani intellectual poet and one of the most famous poets of the Urdu language. He did his BA (Hons) in Arabic (1931) and an MA in (English 1933) from Government College Lahore. In 1934, he obtained his Master's Degree in Arabic from Oriental College, Lahore and in the following year he worked as a lecturer in English for a short time in M.A.O. College, Amritsar. He was a member of the Anjuman Tarraqi Pasand Mussanifin-e-Hind (All India Progressive Writers' Movement) and an avowed Marxist. In 1962, he was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize by the Soviet Union. He had good relationship with the Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat, and his last poem were almost about the Palestine issue and her Liberation. His poetry has been translated into many languages including Arabic, French, Russian, Persian, Hindi, Japanese, Hungarian and English. Faiz returned to Lahore in November 1983 and died on November 20, 1984
