The Basic Difference between Islamic & Western Civilizations
Abstract
Being Muslims, we need to creat some fundamental changes in
social sciences in order to lay the foundation of the Islamic culture &
civilization. Unfortunately, we seriously lack the academic
institutions and thinkers who may provide the foundations of
Islamic civilization on the basis of divinely inspired human and social
sciences. In fact, this task needs a team work and a few scattered
individuals can not do this. Only a group of scholars can perform this
duty who believe that they can alter the foundations of those
sciences that are founded on material theories and thoughts. They
also must have the capability and courage to do so. Along with this,
they also need to study the works done by western scholars in social
sciences. This article is an individual effort in this direction to
encourage other research scholars to do their best for the
foundation of Islamic civilization.
