In any language in the world, color words are both basic and meaningful
vocabulary. In Chinese and Urdu languages color words have similarities and at
the same time there are great differences. Language is a symbol of culture.
Understanding these commonalities and differences can better enable Chinese
and Pakistanis to understand each other's cultures. In this article a comparative
study has been done to introduce and analyze the basic colors in Chines and
Urdu.
