Pashto language is about five thousand years old but unfortunately very less reading and writing has been done in it, due to which the language did not developed as with its age. Written scripts and materials have been founded in Pashto language approximately in 139 H. A. The era of khushal Khan is a revolutionary era for both writings and readings in Pashto language. Khushal baba has written in each and every element of Pashto language. His famous book is “DASTAR NAMA” which he has written in Mughals prison. After khushal Khan in the 20th century during British era so many Pashtuns were kept behind the bars. Among those Pashtun’s, the people who were men of pen have written books on Pashtuns history beside other writings in Pashto language. This research paper will analyze those books of Pashtuns history which has been written in prisons.
