China Pakistan Economic Corridor is term as potential game changer by policy makers and political analysts that will change the regional economic and strategic shape. It has great economic, strategic and trade prospects for Pakistan and the region but this is not without challenges. The security is main threat to CPEC that has internal and external factors. Special Security Division for CPEC is a good initiative to counter the security threat but keeping in mind the gravity of the security issue a well-coordinated policy is needed that include all the concerned institutions, participation of locals, cultural exchange programmers and capacity development of intelligence agencies.
