Abstract
This article is an exposition of the major Urdu translations—with a focus on Urdu verse—of Bulleh Shah’s Punjabi poetry. Ranging from Shafqat Tanvir Mirza’s translation to those of Shafi Aqeel and Ali Akbar Abbas, the author subjects these renderings to a critical evaluation, offering many certifications in the original verses along with corrections in their various renderings.
