Abstract
Atiya Faizi was known for her exceptional intellectual faculties as well as her connections with renowned scholars and literati. Her relationship with Shibli Naumani (1857-1914) and Allama Iqbal(1877-1938) has always remained a subject of interest in literary circles. She met Iqbal in London where they were both pursuing their studies. Atiya is said to have influenced Iqbal into writing poetry in Persian and she was also his close confidante. Her book Iqbal is an important contribution to the field of Iqbal Studies. This essay studies the influence that Faizi had on Iqbal’s work and vice versa.
