Abstract
In this article Iqbal’s Persian poem “Tanhā’ī” (Solitude) has been analysed. The poem consists of four ‘band’ or stanzas. The poem is deeply reflective and all its four stanzas cohesively unite in meaning. The creation of the universe is represented by personifying nature. The link between man and his Creator is understood through the message of the Quran and the knowledge of science. This article deeply analyses Iqbal’s concept of solitude as evident in his poetry.
