Abstract
IN WERAGI (ASCETIC) POETRY: BRIEF ANALYSIS Abstract Weragi (ascetic) poetry is essence of mystic or devotional poetry – Murshid or Guru shows the way to enternal life. This research article is focused on importance of Spiritual Master (Murshid or Guru) in Weragi (ascetic) poetry. All the mystic poets quoted in this paper, Pir Sadaruddin, Qazi Qadan, Shah Inaat, Shah Latif, Sachal, Saami, Rohal, Bedil and Nanik Yousuf are devotees of their Kamil Murshid or Spiritual Master. Mystic, Weragi (ascetic) poets played role of bridge between different religions and cultural groups but most of followers were unaware about spiritual wisdom – in that situation Weragi (ascetic) poets guide then through their devotion and poetry and show them the path of religious harmony, love, peace and brotherhood. Sufi or ascetic manage is mostly in verses which is important aspect of musical discourse-it inspired singers to sing mystic Weragi poetry to create spiritual atmosphere. These Weragi (ascetic) were not only poets, but social reformist also, and their wisdom is guidance for mankind.
