In order to develop awareness amongst the Sindhi masses, he started a series of conferences, whose frist ever conference was held at Thatto on June 23rd, 1966. In this conference, while addressing to the people, G. M. Syed painted out 3 phases of human life such as: religion, politics and spiritualism and opened that all these three phases are totally different from each other and, thus, be treated separately. Besides, he offered a set of guiding principles so as to root out all the social evils from Sindhi society. A major portion of this article is devoted to the quotations and reference from G.M Syed’s book entitled, “Khutbat-e-Syed” which was published by ‘Nain Sindh’, Karachi in 1975. This book contains thought- provoking articles and essays on various issues and problems, which Sindhi nation is facing since a long period of time. However, the very essence of this article lies in the thoughts of G.M Syed which relate to non-existence of national conscience.
