Abstract
Misunderstanding, illusion, deprivation, ill-treatment, complexity of marital status, societal imbalance, prejudice and social injustice, all these are the actual and factual reasons for what we see common people whether Muslims or Non-Muslims criticizing Islam and its teachings for not giving women due rights, hence putting them in a perplexed and tangled situation. The study shows that there is nothing in Islam which could invoke men of the society to be at loggerheads with their counterpart, rather there exist some prevailing unwise thoughts, misconceptions and gender-biased anti-Islamic approaches that have haunted the overall human society thus resulting in chaos, destruction and mental illness of one of the important fabrics of the Muslim society called as “woman”. The study further shows that the issues can easily be resolved through better understanding of the various Islamic injunctions while indulging women itself being discussed as one of the major components of human development keeping in mind the limitations of the creature with respect to God.
