Abstract
The knowledge and wisdom have always enabled human race to bring into light
the ideas that enlighten the upcoming races. The “man” has always remained the
nucleus of all ideologies. “Adam”, “Super Human”, “Mard-e-Mumin” and
“Faqir” are such terms introduced in literature to explore the characteristics of an
“Ample Man”.
This research paper , I intend to complete about the “Ample Man” in the poetry
and prose of the “Father of Pashto”, Khushal Khan Khattak. Khushal Khan
Khattak has used the terms of “Da Destaar Sarrey” (Man of turban), “Nangyalay”
(Hero), “Mard” (Man) and has elaborated its characteristics in his poetry. These
characteristics are very natural, vital and logical. We witness no supernatural and
paranormal things in his “ample man”. It always remains in touch with its land, its
surroundings, its society and its nation. The “indigenous” factor is abundant in his
“Ample man”.
