Abstract
Dr. Wahbah Mustafa al-Zuhayli (1932-2015) was a Syrian professor and Islamic scholar specializing in Islamic law . He wrote extremely detailed works mostly about Islamic law and Jurisprudence. In total, he wrote over one hundred and sixty books. Al-Fiqh al-Islami wa Adilatahu ("Islamic Jurisprudence and its Proofs") a very long eight-volume summary of the different schools of Islamic jurisprudence and their debates on various legal questions. It has been translated into Turkish, Urdu and English. In This book, the author has specially focused to interpret all the different opinions of all the Muslim Jurists. Moreover he also provided the comparison of their opinions. After providing all the different opinions Dr. Wahba Al-Zuhyli adopted an opinion and elaborated the reason of adopting. This research paper has been briefed that on which basis, Dr. Wahbah has shown predilection to a specific and firmly held opinion in his book, and contemporary scholars have agreed on his point of view or not?
