Abstract
This .study was aimed to investigate that what echniques are being used in war/ conflict reporting by the warring parties to yield journalist to their policies in reporting confiicts in Pakistan. For this purpose primary data were collected from journalists who were registered members of Khwazakhela, Matta, Barikot, Kabal and Mingora Press clubs of district Swat. Results of the study
show that journalists working in this conflict zone faced several problems such a.s: life threats, limited access to information and its sources, high risk in digging out the facts and reporting them, insufficient instruments for covering confiict reporting etc. It was found that editorial
policy media organization, and pressures from vernment, military, Taliban, and societal attitudes towards Taliban were some of the major factors which were affecting news content.
