Abstract
This study was carried out to assess teaching competencies of teacher educators of Baochistan in light of the national professional standards set for teachers in Pakistan. The study participants were teacher educators and prospective teachers from the ADE degree awarding institutions of Balochistan province. A mixed method approach was used for the study. T-Test and ANOVA were used as statistical tools to analysis quantitative data whereas thematic analysis was used to generate qualitative themes. The studyfound out that there was no significant difference between the mean scores of male/female and married/unmarried teacher educators regarding understanding and practices of the professional standards.
