Abstract
Noon Meem Rashid is considered to be the 'Father Of Modernism'. No doubt he
is one of the most known modern poets in Pakistani Urdu Literary History.
Instead of adopting the traditional form of poetry, he introduces 'Free Verse'
technique in Urdu poetry. In 1940, his fisrt book 'Marva' established him as a
unique modern poet with different poetic accent. His Leadership is limited due
to tough and complicated formation of his verses. Here is presented the
psycho-critical analysis of his poem 'Khud Kushi' in the pcychoanalytic
perspective of Sigmund Freud.
