Abstract
Abdul Haleem Sharar was a well known as novelist in urdu literature, but infect he was Biographer, paly writer, historian, Critic and a Journalist. Being inspired by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, he was against old and traditional values, prevailing in the society. In his wirtings, we find the moral values and love for literary work. He wrote prose that was so excellence. He chose topics that mainly relaited to the changing conditions in the society. His fiction and non fiction writings are of great importance. He was bestowed Almightly Allah to write about the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The writings of Sharar are compromised of eight volums. These all reflect the intellectual powers of the writer. He laid the foundation of blank verse in Urdu literature. He was the representative of prose of his age.
