Abstract
The distinguished researcher, critic, writer and the Ghalib scholar Malik Raam
occupies a unique place in Urdu literature. He is considered to be an authority
on research on Abul Kalam Azad and Ghalib. Moreover, Rashid Ahmad
Siddique and his works are also among his interests. In this article, the
researcher has furnished important details about the contributions of Malik
Raam. Encompassing various dimensions of Malik Ram and taking his creative
and writing career into consideration, the researcher has also discussed his status
as sketch-writer. Malik Raam has shed light on some of the extremely
significant aspects of two of the great Urdu literary figures: Asad Ullah Khan
Ghalib and Abul Kalam Azad. He added new dimensions to the study of Ghalib
and, similarly, edited many works of Abul Kalam providing extensive
annotations and references. The researcher has taken into account all these
aspects of Malik Raam. The researcher has also pointed to some other articles
and essays by Malik Raam. The places, dates, and sources of these publications
have also been determined. Besides, the researcher has also focused on the
books written about Malik Raam. In this way, this article is a kind of annotated
bibliography of Malik Raam.
