Abstract
Migration is one of the strong aspects of world literature. This subject has also
influenced Urdu literature, whether it is fiction or poetry. In Urdu poetry, the
influence of different types of migration can be traced easily from Wali Deccani
to the present age poets, may it be ghazl or nazm. The article deals with Ahmad
Mushtaq's experience of migration in his ghazl. If Nasir Kazmi went through
this experience as a result of the division of the subcontinent, Ahmad Mushtaq,
has the experience of leaving Pakistan for America. His poetry is full of the
traces of home sickness and the present article tries to deal with it.
