Abstract
In this article, a comparative research analysis of the prefaces of "Bagh-o-Bahar"
by Rashid Hasan Khan and Mirza Hamid Baig is presented. Its purpose is to
critically evaluate the standard of research of the critics. The aim of Rashid
Hasan Khan is to edit the authentic text of "Bagh-o-Bahar". Consequently, in his
preface, he has discussed the biography of Mir Aman, the editing stages of
"Bagh-o-Bahar", different approaches to its authentic manuscripts and the
linguistic elements of "Bagh-o-Bahar" briefly but comprehensively. Mirza
Hamid Baig has set a high standard of editing of "Bagh-o-Bahar" by conducting
an analytical study of the same. He has also pointed out the deficiencies and
discrepancies in the work of Rashid Hasan Khan. This article has encompassed
the research and critical analysis of the commonalities in the two prefaces of
"Bagh-o-Bahar" by both the critics
