Abstract
Sophie's World and Riwayat-e-Falsafa both present popular concepts in
Philosophy in two different ways. Sophie's World has an interesting and story
like description of philosophy while Riwayat-e-Phalsafa has the traditional
description. Riwyat-e-Falsafa takes its start with a description of materialism
while Sophie's World begins with a simple question, "Who you are? The book
Sophie's World investigates even the basic nature of philosophy and basic
requirement to be a philosopher while such topics have no touch in
Riwyat-e-Falsafa. The current study aims at comparing and contrasting two
books. The differences in the descriptive style of mentioned books and the
contents of these books have been explored in this research.
