Abstract
Modern Urdu Poem origins of which flourished in the influence of
Anjuman-e-Punjab, a colonial institution,kept absorbing every ebb and
flow of the Colonial period for more or less one century.In this article an
effort has been made to study the translations of western poems and their
flourishment towards the end of Nineteenth Century in Colonial Context.
