Literary Services of Muneer Ahmed Qureshi (Munu Bhai)
Abstract
Munnu Bhai is an extremely multi-talented and creative
man. As well as being a playwright and dramatist, his
Punjabi poetry is believed to be as one of the best works
in Punjabi literature and poetry. He contributed a number
of columns under the title of “ن “in Daily Urdu
newspapers Imroze, Musawat and Jang. His columns
speak volumes for the poor people and suffering of the
Pakistan. He was also the chairperson of the Sundas
Foundation. Although, most of the work is addition in
Urdu literature, butoccasionally he has contributed in his
mother tongue (Punjabi) under the influence of his family
background. Through this paper his contribution in
Punjabi poetry is being highlighted.
