Abstract
RevieMng the nineteenth century colonial literature and literat
characters. the gost colonial critics have devebped a linear
narratve. This narrative propagates that Imperialists had initiated
a particular type of disowrse to estabksh a cdonial strueure of
authc•ritv and scwereigntv. For. the imperial powers used a
selectee class of personalities. Analysis of re antribut6n of
AIOarh Movement and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in this perspective
can a go" attempt to understand he tyrannical tactics of the
colonial imperialists. Honever, question arises Whether the
comparison of nineteenth century social, mlitjcal, cultural and
economic structure with twenty first century globalized hierarchical
