Styric elements in the style of Sir Syed
Abstract
Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was the founder of modem Urdu prose.
His style Of writing is simple, straightforword and satirical Uptil
now, not ample research has been done on the element of
satire in his works. In this artide, the researcher has tried to
explore omnipresent presnce and treatment Of satire and humor
in prose Of Syed Ahmed Khan. TO prove and support this point
solid and pertinent examples have also been quoted and
discussed. This staire in writings Of Sir Syed has various
shades. At some points he seems to point out/highlight Iletracy,
narrow- mindedness, and morality of Muslims of subcontinent.
At the same time, prejudice and conspiracies Of Hindus are also
subject Of his satire. Sometimes, at some points, he appears to
criticize Muslims clergy who is opposing modem education.
His satire is coated with humour sometimes but ususaly it is
straight and sharp
