Abstract
Dr. Annemarie Schimmel (Dr. Phil, Dr. Sc. Rel.) was internationaly
well known German Orientalist and scholar. She taught many
years in Harvard University and University Of Bonn. She wrote
extensively on Islam, Sufism and Iqbaliat in English, Turkish and
German languages. Gabriel's WIng is one Of the most famous
books written on Allama Muhammad Iqbals thoughts. This book is
about her study into the religious thoughts of Alama Muhammad
Iqbal. Shahpr a Gabriel written by prof. Dr. Muhammad Riaz is
Urdu translation of Gabriel's Wing. Rooh a Gabriel is another Urdu
translation of this book written by Naeem Ulah Malik. Both of
these translations are worth reading
