Abstract
Sindh is a land of mystic poets. Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Sachal Sarmast, Bedil and other mystic poets have chosen it to express their inner most
thoughts in the form of mysticism. Mysticism is an attitude which purifies dirt,
eradicates jealousy and other negative practices from human heart. Shaikh
Ayaz, a great modern poet of the 20th century, also heralds mysticism through
his poetic contribution. The purpose of this study is to trace out the elements of
mysticism in Shaikh Ayaz’s verses
