Abstract
This article consists of technical and analytical review of
the novel ‘Akhari Chattan’ (The Last Rock) by (a prominent
novelist) Naseem Hijazi, of Urdu literature (published in 1946).
Most of the historical incidents of novel are related to Chengiz
Khan, Ala-ud-Din Khwarzem Shah, Jalal-ud-Din Khwarzem Shah,
Shamsuddin Shams, Caliph Al-Nasir, Caliph Az-Zahir, Al-Mutasim
Billah and Salahuddin Ayubi. Apart from historical characters,
some of the creative characters are also included in the novel. On
one hand, victories in the Middle East are justified; on the other
hand, the silky flags started flapping from Spain’s borders to
France. Aslo the flagship of Islamic victories began to rise in
Indian fields. Just after six hundred years, a gale blew out these
victories as they never appeared. The storm which started from
the desert of Gobi under the leadership of Chengiz Khan brought
a destructive message to the civilized and developed
communities. Dialogues of the novel are great. Along with the
historical events, the romantic events are also described. This
combined description of historical and romantic events provides
interest to the reader. The narration and description of events and
language of the novel are attractive
