In all aspects of human life, the effects of globalization are inevitable. The world has shrunk down to a 15-inch screen where people across boundaries and diverse backgrounds can access other people, information across the world, different cultural products, and can effect or get affected by the teaching and learning methodologies, economic theories and practices, and leadership strategies opted by different countries. This issue of JSSIR has papers around the theme of globalization including; Language education, political discourse, leadership strategies, and a comparative analysis of cultural products from India, China, and America. With globalization English has gained status of a lingua franca or an international language, because of which English is taken “as a heterogeneous language with multiple grammars, vocabulary, accents, and pragmatic discourse conventions” (Marlina & Giri, 2014). The first paper in this issue has highlighted the fact that an exclusive pedagogy for EIL is needed in today’s world to bridge the gap between understanding and competence of language learners towards languages and cultures. In order to follow in the line of global economic trends, the third paper in the issue has suggested companies to ensure establishing an environment that follows the organizational model which fosters open access to knowledge and learning, competitive and healthy behavior among the employees.
