تلخیص
In this article, selected poems of Iqbal have been exploited that he used in his Urdu poetry to highlight the philosophy of education; its core elements and the stake holders. Education in this article is addressed in the light of Iqbal’s Urdu poetry with reference to the terms like, taleem (education), tarbiyat (upbringing), and deen (religion). The stake holders selected are aql o dil (reasoning and heart), ilm o ishq (knowledge and love), talib e ilm (student), ustad (teacher), aurat (woman), insan (human), , khudi (self), madrassa (school), maktab (institute of religious learning), khankah (institute of spiritual learning) and zamana e hazir (existing society). At the end of each poetic selection, some commandments and divine verses of Al-Quran are also mentioned as they are considered to be the main source of philosophical thoughts and vision that Iqbal holds to address humanity to keep them alive from their inside and nourish the self of each individual and each nation at large.
