Mirza Hadi Ruswa is one of the most prominent Urdu novelists. He also had the
honour of being the first psychological novelist in Urdu. He had written four
novels, including Amrao Jan Ada, Sharifzada, Zat-e-Sharif and Akhtari Begum.
Lucknow civilization is depicted in Ruswa's novels. The cultural consciousness
of Ruswa is very clear. As a novelist, Ruswa has made the subject of all the
aspects of Lucknowi society.This article discusses Mirza Hadi Ruswa's cultural
awareness in the light of his novels.
